Who we are
Love experimenting in the kitchen? Turn it into your job.
We're nyce. (nyce.fit) — a Kerry brand making creamy protein shakes, iced coffees, matcha lattes and more, all developed and produced entirely in-house in Tralee. No contract manufacturers, no anonymous supply chains: recipe, development and production happen under one roof, using milk from grass-fed Irish cows.
nyce. is part of Qimondo, an Irish manufacturer of premium nutrition products based at Monavalley Business Park, Tralee. We're growing — and we're looking for a Product Developer to make our lab kitchen their own: the place where every new flavour and every new product is born.
The role
What you'll actually do
- Develop new products and flavours in our lab kitchen: protein shakes, iced coffee, matcha, dessert mixes — and whatever great idea comes next
- Experiment with recipes, ingredients and flavour combinations — taste, tweak, repeat until it's genuinely delicious
- Run tastings and sensory evaluations, gather feedback and refine recipes
- Take your recipes from the lab bench to full production alongside our production team
- Source ingredients and raw materials: research suppliers, request samples, compare quality and prices, and build supplier relationships across Ireland and beyond
- Keep an eye on food trends and bring your own product ideas to the table
The person
Who we're looking for
This is not a white-lab-coat, routine-testing role. We're looking for someone curious, hands-on and genuinely excited about food. You might be:
The graduate
A food science, food technology or nutrition graduate who wants to build products, not just analyse them.
The professional
A chef, baker, barista or pastry professional looking for regular hours and a creative product role.
The enthusiast
A passionate home cook or food enthusiast with a great palate and a systematic, curious mind.
What matters to us
- Genuine enthusiasm for trying out recipes, ingredients and new ideas
- A good palate and a real attention to detail
- An organised, self-driven way of working — you'll have creative freedom and a strong say in how it's run
- Comfortable with numbers (recipes, costings, supplier comparisons)
- Good English; other languages (especially German) are a plus, as we sell across Europe
- Willingness to train in food safety (e.g. HACCP — full training provided)
Experience in product development or purchasing is a plus, not a must. Attitude beats CV.
The deal
What we offer
- €35,000 – €45,000 depending on experience
- A rare role: creative development and sourcing responsibility in one job
- Real impact: products you develop go on sale under our own brand across Europe
- Short decision paths — pitch an idea on Monday, test it in the kitchen on Tuesday
- A modern, well-equipped lab kitchen and production facility in Tralee
- Full training in food safety and quality standards
- Flexible full-time or part-time arrangement
- A small, friendly team in a growing company with big plans
