How our reviews work
Last updated: July 2026
Honest reviews help everyone. Here we explain transparently how reviews in our shop come about, how we check them and which guidelines apply.
1. Who can leave a review
Only logged-in customers can submit reviews. Login works without a password via a code that we send to your email address - every review is therefore linked to a confirmed email address. Exactly one review is possible per person (email address) and flavour; if you review again, the new review replaces the old one and goes through moderation again.
A purchase is not strictly required to leave a review. Whether a review comes from a buyer is indicated by the “Verified purchase” badge (see below).
2. Checks before publication
Every review is checked manually by us before publication. We publish all reviews that comply with our guidelines - regardless of whether they are positive or negative. There is no selection by star rating. We do not pay for reviews and do not publish paid or otherwise incentivised reviews. The name you provide is displayed, your email address never is.
3. “Verified purchase” and averages
A review receives the “Verified purchase” badge if a product of the reviewed product line was ordered in our shop with the email address of the review. Reviews without a proven purchase are also published but do not carry this badge.
The displayed average rating and the number of reviews are calculated per product line across all flavours - as a simple, unweighted average of all approved reviews.
4. Our guidelines
So that your review can be published and genuinely helps others, please keep the following in mind:
- Review the product only: Please review the product you have used yourself. Comments about shipping, payment or customer service are not part of a product review - for those, contact us directly.
- Stay factual and respectful: Reviews containing insults, personal attacks or inappropriate language will be rejected.
- No health claims: Statements about illnesses, symptoms, blood values or promises of healing or weight loss are not legally permitted in reviews of foodstuffs and lead to rejection.
- No third-party advertising: Advertising for other providers, external links and spam will not be published.
- Applicable law: Reviews must not violate applicable law - in particular no misleading statements and no comparative claims without an objective basis.
